MOSCOW, Feb 2 (PRIME) – Russians’ median inflationary expectations for the next 12 months decreased to 13.7% in January from 14.8% in December 2021, the central bank said on Wednesday.

“The populations’ inflationary expectations for the next 12 months fell, but were still near many-year highs,” the central bank said in a statement.

“The January median estimate of inflation expected in the next 12 months amounted to 13.7% (-1.1 percentage points to December.”

In spite of the noticeable decrease, inflationary expectations were still 0.2 percentage points higher in January than in November 2021, the regulator said.
